The 2017 show season promises to be better than ever, with the fabulous shopping at many events offering an amazing range of products.

Leading equestrian and country events now provide a wide range of shopping from boutique, designer stands to homeware, luxury goods, artisan food, saddlers and equestrian retailers.

However, sometimes just getting around all the trade stands at shows can be daunting.

Here owner of Cheshire-based Cool Equestrian, Sara Branch, dressage sponsor and exhibitor at The Equerry Bolesworth International Horse Show – June 14 to 18 - offers advice on how to get the most out of your day with her Top 10 Tips on shopping.

  1. Make the most of the day by arriving early. My advice is to have a floor map so you know exactly where all your favourite stands are.
  2. Have a look around the stands first thing before it gets too busy then you can really plan exactly what you want to buy and take home.
  3. The show is a great place for buying birthday presents. Bring a list of people to buy for so you don’t forget anyone.
  4. Make a wish list. Shows in general are perfect for picking up discounted designer brands and special offers or end of season lines.
  5. Stay stylish this summer, and get the latest fashion items for the season. Whether it’s an Anky Sleeveless Polo or a stylish KEP riding hat, you’re sure to find them on the show circuit.
  6. Make a ‘must-have’ list for your horse. After all, your favourite equine friend must look the part too! If you really want to spoil him, a new Passier bridle is both stylish and comfortable.
  7. Don’t forget to use the ‘Shop & Drop’ facility at shows, that way you don’t have to carry heavy bags around the showground and can head for the champagne bar!
  8. Explore the smaller, unique style outlets which often sell specially created, individual giftware, fashion and jewellery.
  9. Don’t worry about bringing heaps of cash with you – there are often banking facilities and cashpoints on site at most shows.
  10. Dress to impress especially on the Saturday at Bolesworth International. The team of celebrity judges will be on the look-out for eye-catching outfits throughout Ladies Day and during Miss Bolesworth 2017, so make sure you look your best.
