Showing Producer Vicky White claimed the Lightweight Working Hunter title in a hotly contested class at Hickstead’s Royal International Horse Show on Friday (1st August).
11 year old ‘Royal Gent’, also known as Buster has been owned by Vicky for only 14 months. Buster already has a fantastic pedigree in the field, with a win in the Ruth Lears Novice Working Hunter final and a 7th at last years HOYS as well as a number of County show wins.
“Buster has gone from strength to strength this year and feeding Pure Feed has certainly helped not only with his coat and condition but he has definitely felt a lot happier and healthier in himself,” said Vicky.
“Since trialing the feed in early 2014 we now have the entire yard on Pure Condition and each and every horse is looking and going fabulous.”
A typical Irish hunter, Buster has a fantastic, bold jump, in particular over the bullfinch fence, where he would much rather clear the brush altogether than jump through it! The pair were one of only 7 clears in a final of over 35 entries.
Vicky had further success at RIHS with No Name (Red) taking 6th place in the Heavyweight class in only his 4th competition and Military March (Ricky) taking 8th place in the Middleweight Hunter class.
Vicky has already qualified both Royal Gent and No Name for HOYS and is hoping to do the double in October at the NEC.
