Following the success of its inaugural event, YardWise returns on 15–16 September 2026 with an expanded two-day programme at Warwick Trident College, Royal Leamington Spa.
Organised by The Equestrian Index, LiveryList and Animalweb, YardWise has been created specifically for yard owners, managers and equestrian professionals who want practical ideas, expert guidance and the opportunity to discuss the challenges facing today's facility based equestrian businesses.
With the 2026 theme 'Smart Care, Smarter Business', the event reflects the realities of running a modern yard, from rising costs and increasing welfare expectations to staffing, client management and long-term business sustainability.

Tuesday 15 September – Smart Care: Equine Housing & Environment
Day One focuses on the welfare, housing and environmental factors that underpin successful yard management.
Returning by popular demand, internationally respected equine scientist Dr David Marlin will deliver the opening keynote, alongside Annabel Holmes of Equine Ecology, who will explore sustainable grazing and land management.
Throughout the afternoon, delegates will have the opportunity to take part in small-group workshops with leading specialists covering topics including horse behaviour, nutrition, welfare, biosecurity, housing, land management and responsible yard management.
Wednesday 16 September – Smarter Business: Business Sustainability & Development
Day Two turns its attention to the commercial realities of running a successful equestrian business.
Keynote sessions will be delivered by Andrew Stennett, Proprietor of Grove House Stables LLP, who will share his experience of developing and operating a successful and diversified equestrian business, and Cheryl Johns of LiveryList, who will explore pricing strategies and long-term business viability.
Workshops throughout the afternoon will cover legal compliance, accounting and tax, marketing, software, accessibility, leadership, client communication and business development, giving delegates direct access to specialists working at the forefront of the equestrian industry.
More Than a Conference
Every delegate will have the opportunity to engage directly with speakers through interactive workshop discussions, creating a collaborative environment where ideas, experiences and practical solutions can be shared.
Both days begin with a networking breakfast, followed by keynote presentations, expert-led workshops and dedicated time to connect with fellow yard owners, managers and industry professionals. A new social evening on Tuesday 15 September will provide even more opportunities to build relationships across the sector.
The event has also been awarded 6 BHS CPD points for BHS Accredited Professional Coaches, recognising its value as a professional development opportunity.
