Often, we see horses and ponies stood for long periods with no hay or haylage, sometimes under the guise “weight control” how long can a horse be without food before potential damage is done?

For those with a short attention span – answer is - 4 hours maximum, this is because horses are grazers, designed to eat constantly, as they have no way to store acids and enzymes, before we domesticated them, they have never needed to. A horse’s stomach holds 8 – 15 litres and takes around 4 – 6 hours to empty. A high percentage of adult horses suffer from ulcers.

Stable Graze allows horse owners to divide the feed rations into three separate feeds which will be released at pre-programmed intervals throughout the day or night preventing the harmful build – up of acids in the stomach.

As Stable Graze releases the feed from the base onto the ground it works with the horse’s physiology who is naturally designed to feed from the ground, feeding in this manner is beneficial for respiratory, digestive, dental and back health.

Stable Graze is a revolutionary automated forage feeder which will change life for some stabled horses, also providing the owner to have complete control to ensure that the horse is fed the right amount at the right time, even when there is no one physically at the stable.

Invaluable for horses or ponies if they are convalescing or obese.

Stable Graze will reduce wastage, is simple to use and attractive.
