The CORE EQUESTRIAN grid provides the foundation for a low maintenance riding experience. The grids are highly shock absorbent, promoting natural horse movement but also a sturdy and firm surface for riding on. It can withstand immense levels of pressure from the horses’ shod hooves moving at speed. A key benefit of the grid is that its highly efficient drainage allows the riding area to be used all year round, as well as protecting the subbase – providing a riding area that only needs to be prepared once with minimal maintenance after the installation.

The grid enables you to maintain a free draining arena, paddock or menege that can be consistently used, regardless of weather. By creating a separation layer between the subbase and the riding course, it prevents the surface from becoming saturated and subsequently ‘churned up’ by avoiding your riding course and subbase mixing. This is especially helpful in those high trafficked areas around feeding stations and frequently used gateways that can often collect water and become unsustainable throughout the colder, wetter months. By ensuring that the grids promote free drainage, it further reiterates the versatility of our grid by reinforcing the fact that our grid ensures all weather riding.

The grid can be filled with all traditional infill materials that are often found within riding arenas, such as a waxed surface, non waxed, silica sand and rubber chippings. The grid itself can also be filled with a soil mix so that you can have a discrete grass area that is fully reinforced and can tolerate all traffic types.

Chapelstone Equestrian Construction design, manufacture and install stables and arenas to a very high standard throughout the south of England. Much of our business comes to us via word of mouth recommendation. Our customers tell us they are impressed with our attention to detail, the quality of our materials and craftsmanship, and the finishing touches that make their installations beautiful, workable and most importantly, safe environments for their horses and themselves. In addition to the stables we also construct other timber outbuildings, such as field shelters, hay barns, tack rooms, dog kennels and runs, garden rooms, washdown areas and more. Arenas are planned and constructed with meticulous attention to detail – the base, the drainage and the use of the correct materials must be right before the surface goes down. We know that there can be no shortcuts on this element of the build. We can provide you with sand and fibre surfaces and sand and rubber. We also supply arena rakes designed by us to keep your surface well maintained for years to come. “The arena you put in seven years ago still rides fantastic even through the summer months…” Anna We have our own in house craftsmen to manufacture and erect timber buildings to the specification you have requested. We also have our own team of groundworkers, who have years of experience in installing arenas and laying bases for stables and other buildings. We also provide fencing, driveways, parking and turning areas. In fact, just about anything you may need to complete your dream equestrian yard. “If you want a yard built to your own specifications I would recommend speaking to Chapelstone for a bespoke service…”  Cathy Evans (BHSII) Our ‘tagline’ is Run by Horse People for Horse People. Many of the staff at Chapelstone own or have previously owned horses, or ride regularly and are immersed in the equestrian lifestyle. This love of equines coupled with our construction knowledge means we have a real understanding of how important your horses are to you, and know what it takes to make the layout of an equestrian facility flow perfectly. We have been in business for fifteen years, and have built huge commercial yards and small, private stables. Some of our customers have taken advantage of our design and planning department and have handed the entire project over to us and have enjoyed a full turnkey service. Other customers have simply wanted a stable base laid, or asked for a field shelter, or have wanted an existing arena re-surfaced. Chapelstone are also your first stop for ThirstyBed bedding, SolarMate solar equestrian lighting and Hotline electric fencing and stable mats. We can also install solariums, horse walkers, showers, arena & stable solar lighting and watering systems. Whatever you are looking for, contact us at Chapelstone for an informal chat.

Mudcontrol Ltd is dedicated to supplying top quality ecologically-sound products made from 100% recycled domestic plastic. Our MUDCONTROL INB® slabs are a proven instant hard-standing solution, and certified to over 60 tonnes. They can be laid straight down on the ground or mud and are strong enough to be removable and reusable, again and again, or they can be left in place to form a permanent hard standing area that grass will grow up through (it can be mown, grazed or left).

The slabs measure 50cm x 50cm x 5.3cm and weigh over 7kg each. There are 4 to a square metre, and they are delivered on pallets with up to 35 square metres on a pallet. There is no minimum order, and price breaks for large orders. They’re ideal to use anywhere you have a mud problem – feeding areas, pathways, driveways, storage areas, parking, and so on. We also supply fencing products – there are hundreds of different sizes and lengths of round and square posts, in lengths from 75cm to 6m, and also rails. The plastic material is very dense, solid the whole way through, and can be stapled, nailed into, screwed into and sawn exactly like a wooden post. They will never need treating and never rot. The material is Playground Certified.

These products are all covered by a 20 year manufacturer’s warranty, but will last for many decades. Please have a look at our Facebook page @mudcontrol, our YouTube channel @mudcontrol and our website
