Moreton Morrell College is a UK and international leader in the development and delivery of equine courses. For over 40 years, the college has provided specialist equine degree programmes, designed with industry input to enhance your employability.
The exceptional equine facilities at Moreton Morrell College include the Equine Therapy and Rehabilitation Centre, opened by Zara Phillips, an equine unit approved by the BHS as a ‘Where to Train’ centre, indoor and outdoor arenas and horse simulator.
Our college covers 750 acres of Warwickshire countryside with stabling for more than 120 horses, 60 well-schooled competitive horses and a farriery centre and forge. The site also provides accommodation for over 200 full-time students.
As a student, you will have opportunities to get involved in the British Eventing Spring and Autumn Horse Trials, join our Elite or Performance Equine Academies and take part in ongoing research projects to help develop the industry.




University Centre Bishop Burton and Bishop Burton College, based in East Yorkshire, has a well-deserved reputation for being one of the finest land-based colleges and providers of equine courses anywhere in the country. The college runs equine apprenticeships and further education courses with the University Centre Bishop Burton delivering a wide range of degree programmes covering all aspects of the industry and has an outstanding track record of student success. The state of the art complex includes the impressive Bishop Burton Arena, Therapy Centre with Water Treadmill, CET Equine Spa, Solarium and Zamar, Rider Fitness and Performance Suite, two indoor arenas, three outdoor arenas and stabling for over 100 horses. Specialist equipment includes Quintic Gait Analysis software, FLIR Thermal Imaging cameras, Polar Heart Monitors, Televet ECG, Synchronicity Rein Tension Gauges, Noldus Observe XP software and extensive laboratory-based equipment. Bishop Burton’s commercial equine centre hosts an extensive range of regional, national and international competitions, demonstrations and clinics, and is a BHS training and examination centre. Equine students gain experience by working alongside the tutors and instructors at these events, developing the practical skills needed to work in industry.


Capel Manor College is London’s only specialist land-based college, offering a diverse range of full and part-time courses in further and higher education for school leavers and adults. The College is the only college in Europe to offer full-time saddlery courses with 25 year’s reputation for excellence in leathercraft.
Capel Manor College’s saddlery and leatherwork courses are taught at their Enfield campus, set amongst 30 acres of picturesque gardens and green space. Students are taught in the College’s leather workshop, located within historic Victorian stables.
The College offers the prestigious and historic Worshipful Company of Cordwainers’ Diploma in Saddle, Harness and Bridle Making, Cordwainers’ Diploma in Shoemaking as well as a range of other leatherwork part-time courses. Through practical demonstrations and hands-on workshops, the College helps to provide its students with the skill set needed for working within the leather industries. The skills learnt are transferable, and their students go on to work with a wide range of employers such as the British Army and fashion designers.


High quality education and facilities for the equine industry is at the forefront of North Highland College UHI. Alongside the highly practical horse care and riding elements of our courses, our students are also taught health and safety, business and management, marketing and communication, IT skills, working with others and key enterprise skills. From the stunning highlands of Scotland, our equine students are based at our purpose built Rural Studies Centre alongside our veterinary nursing and gamekeeping students. The centre boasts:

You will have the opportunity to progress from an NC Horse Care to BA (Hons) Equine Business Management with our specialist equine tutors who are widely known within the equestrian community. To further endorse our students' academic capabilities and enhance employment prospects we also prepare them for British Horse Society Examinations.
