Reaseheath College Equestrian Centre has all the facilities you’d expect at a professional training centre, you’ll be taught by our knowledgeable experienced and supportive staff, many with elite industry experience. You’ll be in an ideal position to get a great job in the industry after you’ve gained your qualification, thanks to our close links with employers and industry mentors. Their input into our courses ensures that you gain the relevant technical skills and knowledge you’ll need to stand out in the jobs market. You’ll also gain great experience through work placements and study tours. Some of our students have gone on to become international grooms or equine physiotherapists – or have even come back as lecturers!
The Centre is a BHS Approved Riding School and Examination Centre. We’re also a BHS 'Where to Train' centre up to BHSI level. We are also approved by the ABRS. The Centre is open to the public for riding lessons and we can also offer intensive tuition towards BHS exams. The facilities at the Centre are outstanding and include: Bishop Burton Arena: 35m x 65m seating for 500, bar, catering, toilets & showers Indoor Arena 1: 20m x 60 m with a purpose built gallery and cafe Indoor Arena 2: 30m x 65m Championship Outdoor Arena: 55m x 70m International Outdoor Arena 50m x 90m Cherry Park Outdoor Arena 20m x 40m 110 stables Practical demonstration room Horsewalker Equine treadmill Solarium Equine weighbridge Interactive Dressage Simulator Rider Fitness Unit Tackrooms Equine therapy laboratory Cross country courses Equine laundry facilities Secure off road hacking track All of the above are available for hire by the hour or day. We regularly host shows and lecture demonstrations. Accommodation for riders and grooms, as well as horses, is available on site on many occasions.
Houghall Campus, opened a brand new BHS & ABRS approved Equine Centre in September 2016 as part of a £12.75m development of the college. It boasts a 28-stable block, training workshops, tack room, automatic horse-walker & international-standard 40m x 40m indoor arena plus an existing 60m x 40m all-weather manege, cross-country trial, schooling field & 20-acre paddock. L1 Dip. Land-Based Studies (Horse Care), L2 Dip. Horse Care & L3 Extended Dip. Horse Management. (ABRS) Horse Care & Stable Management Skills, Levels 1 - 3 (Combined). The training facility/paddock & trail ride are available to hire at individual, competition & club level rates. Full & working livery.
