Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) which is the biggest week of the year for equestrian entertainment. Every performance includes an element of competition along with a variety of displays from around the world and the adrenaline-filled Pony Club Mounted Games, where teams will be competing in heats each day for their chance to win the highly-esteemed Prince Philip Cup on Sunday afternoon!
The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead, was the dream and brain child of one man - Douglas Bunn. Now run by his family, the showground remains one of the premier equestrian venues in the world. Almost every great show jumper, horse and rider, has competed at Hickstead since we first opened our doors in 1960. In 2010, The All England Jumping Course is now approaching its 60th anniversary as the home of international showjumping in Great Britain. Showing classes at Hickstead almost now out number showjumping, with competitors travelling far and wide to compete at the world famous venue.
Hartpury Arena plays host to more than 60 competitions throughout the year from unaffiliated shows to national finals and FEI competitions. It is also a popular venue for training camps, conferences and forums due to the fantastic facilities on offer all within one centre. Taking place for its fifth consecutive year, the British Showjumping National Championships (BSNC) and Stoneleigh Horse Show (SHS) returns to NAEC Stoneleigh at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. The now well-established show boasts top showjumping championships and HOYS showing qualifiers running from 6th – 11th August 2019. A wide range of National Showjumping Finals will be up for grabs over the six days, including the Retraining of Racehorses (ROR) Championship and the Bronze and Silver Leagues as well as the Stepping Stones Championship and the coveted HOYS International Wildcard Series. Showing will also be taking over Stoneleigh Park, with the Stoneleigh Horse Show beginning on Friday 9th August. Running through to Sunday evening. With 58 HOYS qualifying places on offer, the show offers a wide variety of classes from mountain and moorlands to working hunters and miniatures.
