Queen Mary’s is a thriving day and boarding school, for girls aged 4 - 16 and boys aged 4 - 7, with an onsite British Horse Society “Commended” equestrian centre and fully BHS qualified instructors, with an excellent reputation for being one of the top schools for riding.

At the NSEA Championships, Queen Mary’s teams continually secure excellent placings in many classes. In 2018 the teams secured ‘Top English School’ in the 80cm Show Jumping and 80cm Jumping With Style and were NSEA 90cm Show Jumping Champions in 2016. Other recent achievements include qualification for the Royal Windsor Horse Show and the Riding Captain has represented Great Britain.
The size and ethos of the school allows for full flexibility ensuring that pupils’ riding aspirations sit comfortably alongside academic and other extra-curricular activities. Recent results saw 49% of GCSE entries awarded Grades 8-9. The school organises a number of equestrian shows and competitions onsite. These include a dressage series, show jumping and an annual show. Queen Mary’s also organises show jumping and dressage clinics and event training so the girls can gain valuable competition experience. Pupils are able to bring their own horses to school. Queen Mary’s offers various livery options and has a number of school ponies offering the girls the confidence and the foundations they need to achieve their equestrian ambitions.


Lucton School equestrian centre is set within 14 acres of the beautiful North Herefordshire countryside, with two all-weather areas, and miles of off road hacking. Our staff are BHS qualified, and we have a range of well-schooled horses and ponies to suit all needs. Whether riders are complete beginners, competent riders improving their dressage, jumping, and competition skills, or training towards professional qualifications, we can help them improve their horsemanship in a friendly, encouraging and safe environment.
We are a Pony Club Centre, and alongside their studies, Lucton Students can study BTEC and GCSE qualifications in horse management & stable management. Our sixth formers have the opportunity to study for the BHS Assistant Instructors Certificate.

Bloxham School is an independent, co-educational boarding and day school for students aged 11 to 18. Situated at the heart of the beautiful village of Bloxham, north Oxfordshire, the school offers a rural setting whilst being easily accessible from London and the Home Counties.
